GSC Report on the current activities 2021 – 1

In the first quarter 2021 GSC is being involved in the following activities and projects:
- World Championship Match 2020 – negotiations with EXPO and with a number of commercial, broadcasting and media partners
- Preparation of the various FIDE presentations, including “FIDE World Championship” presentation, General, Youth, Women GP, Senior etc…
- Negotiations with the organisers of the Women Grand Prix tournament in Gibraltar.
- Preparation and holding meetings with (potential) partners and sponsors – Coca-Cola, MTS, Mahindra, Motiva and others
- Preparation of the draft contract with Motiva
- Negotiations with potential organisers of the Candidates Tournament (second leg)
- Preparation the update for the FIDE Online Chess Rules within the Task Force group
- Preparation of the FIDE bidding procedures within the Task Force group
- Preparation of the update for the Regulations for Grand Swiss and WGS 2021
- Preparation of the Regulations for the Chess Olympiad 2022
- Preparation the Regulations for BRICS events
- Preparation of the World Teams 2021 Format
- Preparation of the Regulations for the FIDE Online World Universities Championships
- Preparation and holding the FIDE Online World Universities Championships in collaboration with the Texas University Rio Grande Valley
- Discussion with the four Continents on the World Cup 2021 qualifiers structure
- Preparation of the specific requirements for the FIDE World Cup qualifiers held in Hybrid format
