GSC Report on the current activities 2020 – 3

In the third quarter 2020 GSC is being involved in the following activities and projects:

• World Championship Match 2020 – negotiations with EXPO and with a number of commercial, broadcasting and media partners

• Preparation of the various FIDE presentations, including “FIDE World Championship” presentation, General, Youth, Women GP, Senior etc…

• Negotiations with the organisers of the Women Grand Prix and World Women’s Cup 2020

• Preparation and holding meetings with (potential) partners and sponsors – Coca-Cola, MTS, Mahindra, Lindores Abbey, Yugra and others…

• Working with other commissions’ and major platforms’ representatives on online cheating problem, including several online meetings

• Arrangements for Checkmate Coronavirus Project’s prize winners

• Preparation of the Elections Regulations for the Athletes Commission

• Preparation of the Regulations for the “World Bullet” project

• Negotiations with Chess.com, Chess24 and Lichess on “World Bullet” project

• Preparation of the Regulations for the FIDE Chess.com Women’s Speed GP Series

• Preparation of the Regulations for the FIDE Online Olympiad

• Nominating arbiters and FIDE principals for the FIDE Online Olympiad

• Preparing and holding the FIDE Online Olympiad in collaboration with Chess.com

• Negotiations оf contract details related to the FIDE Online Olympiad with sponsors, platforms and broadcasting partners (Match TV)

• Overseeing an organisation of the FIDE Online Olympiad

• Preparation of the poll on the FIDE Online Olympiad

• Preparation of the joint project with Coca-Cola in Ukraine

Negotiations with potential organisers of the Candidates Tournament (second leg)
