GSC Report on current activities 2023 – 4

In the fourth quarter 2023 GSC has been involved in the following activities and projects:

• Selection, coordination and payment arrangements with Open tournaments granted FIDE Aid Packages 2023

• Coordination of the FIDE Circuit 2023 project

• Preparation and holding meetings with (potential) partners and sponsors – Freedom Finance, WR Group, Coca-Cola, Mahindra, Ava Labs, Motiva, Sony Sports and others

• Preparation of joint projects with chess.com

• Negotiations with IMG on World Championship cycle sponsoring

• Consulting on the Candidates Tournament Manual for organisers

• Discussions and polls on time controls and formats of major FIDE events

• Preparation of the Grand Swiss 2023

• Updating the Regulations for R&B 2023

• Negotiations with potential organisers of World Championship Matches 2024, World R&B 2023 and 2024, Women’s GP 2024-25, World Cups 2025

• Preparation of R&B 2023

• Inspection and Preparation of the Candidates Tournaments 2024

• Drafting the Regulations for the World Cups 2025
