GSC Report on current activities 2026 – 1

In the first quarter 2026, GSC has been involved in the following activities and projects:

• Coordinating of the FIDE Circuit and Women’s Circuit 2026 projects

• Finalising financial matters for R&B 2025

• Preparing and holding meetings with (potential) partners and sponsors – Freedom Finance, Scheinberg family, Google, WR Group, Mahindra, NRK, ChessBase India, Total Sports, Salesforce and others

• Negotiating with potential organisers of the World Championship Match 2026 and Women’s Grand Prix Series 2026-27

• Negotiating with Norway Chess regarding the Total Chess project

• Preparing and organising the FIDE Candidates 2026

• Negotiating with (potential) partners of the FIDE Candidates 2026: Freedom, Scheinberg Family, Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort, Mohary Group

• Negotiating with P11 regarding the FIDE World Championship Match 2026

• Drafting the Regulations for the World Team R&B Championships 2026

• Participating in the organisation of the World Team R&B Championships 2026

• Communicating with the Continents regarding quotas for the World Cup 2027

• Negotiating with the potential organiser of the Grand Swiss 2027 in IOM

• Contributing to the FIDE Awards working group

• Drafting the Regulations for the FIDE University Team Championship 2026

• Drafting the Regulations for the Olympiad 2030
