GSC Report on current activities 2024 – 1

In the first quarter 2024 GSC has been involved in the following activities and projects:

• Launch of the FIDE Aid Package 2024 and selection of Open tournaments

• Coordination and payment arrangements with Open tournaments granted FIDE Aid Packages 2024

• Determining continental quotas for the World Cups 2025 and consulting with the Continents

• Consulting on the concept of the FIDE Circuit 2024 project

• Coordination of the FIDE Circuit 2024 project

• Preparation and holding meetings with (potential) partners and sponsors – Freedom Finance, Scheinberg family, WR Group, Coca-Cola, Mahindra, Motiva, Sony Sports, Nagra and others

• Preparation of joint projects with chess.com, lichess.com

• Negotiations with potential organisers of World Championship Matches 2024, World R&B 2023 and 2024, Women’s GP 2024-25, World Cups 2025, World Corporate 2024

• Negotiations with potential sponsors of WRTC 2024

•  Drafting the Regulations for WRTC 2024

• Preparing the Candidates Tournaments 2024

• Drafting the Regulations for the World Cups 2025
