In the second quarter 2022 GSC is being involved in the following activities and projects:
- Negotiations with the Olympiad 2022 Organiser
- Preparation of the Olympiad 2022
- Assistance to federations participating in the Olympiad 2022 with registration and visa issues
- Preparation of the Regulations and bidding procedure for the FIDE Chess Olympiads 2022 and 2026
- Negotiations with potential World Championship Match 2023 organisers
- Preparation of the Candidates Tournament 2022
- Negotiations with potential organisers of the Women’s GP Series 2022-23
- Preparation of the Women’s Candidates Tournament 2022 Regulations’ update
- Negotiations with potential organisers of the Women’s Candidates Tournament 2022
- Contract and payment arrangements with Open tournaments granted FIDE Aid Packages
- Preparation and holding meetings with (potential) partners and sponsors – Coca-Cola, Mahindra, Rakuten, Motiva and others
- Implementation of Chess NFT project
- Preparation of joint projects with chess.com
- Negotiations with IOC regarding inclusion of chess into Virtual Olympic Series 2022-23
- Negotiations with the organisers of World Rapid and Blitz 2022&23
- Negotiations with Grand Chess Tour about possible inclusion into FIDE World Championship Cycle
- Working on several documents (Captains & HOD rules, Appeal Committee rules, CA Reports) within the Handbook Task Force group
- Preparation and holding the poll on new World Championship Match format, developing tie-break criteria for various events
