GSC Report on current activities 2022 – 1

In the first quarter 2022 GSC is being involved in the following activities and projects:

• Summarising cooperation and financial part with FIDE World Championship 2021

• Supervision of the FIDE GP Tournaments 2022

• Preparation of the Regulations and bidding procedure for the Grand Swiss and WGS 2023

• Preparation of the Regulations and bidding procedure for the World Cup and WWC 2023

• Preparation of the Regulations and bidding procedure for the FIDE Chess Olympiads 2022 and 2026

• Negotiations with the Olympiad 2022 Organiser

• Negotiations with potential organisers of the Women’s Candidates Tournament 2022

• Preparation of the Candidates Tournament 2022

• Negotiations with potential organisers of the Women’s GP Series 2022-23

• Preparation and holding meetings with (potential) partners and sponsors – Motiva, Coinbase, Mahindra and others

• Working on Chess NFT project

• Preparation of joint projects with chess.com

• Working on several documents (Captains & HOD rules, Appeal Committee rules, CA Reports) within the Handbook Task Force group

• Contract and payment arrangements with Open tournaments granted FIDE Aid Packages
